Our Company
Contractor Services for Illinois is not a new business in town, but a business with a fresh look and a new location. The business, founded in 1962 by Charles Walder of East Lynn, was originally known as Walder Vacuflo. Vacuflo Central Vacuums were the only product sold and installed by Mr. Walder. In 1989 his son, Jim, took over the business. In 1992 Walder Vacuflo moved to Paxton and soon added Closet Concepts within the same location. As the company grew and its territory increased, Jim took advantage of the opportunity to sell the business to the Masco Contractor Services Group in 2002. Both branches of the business in Paxton and Morton were sold. The business headquarters which was in Paxton was relocated to Morton and the Paxton facility became a satellite operation. Shortly after, Masco added some additional products and renamed the company to Contractor Services of Illinois.
With the downturn in the economy late in 2007, Masco’s business plan was revised and brought about new opportunities for some of the employees to purchase the company. Branch manager Ryan Hazelwood purchased the Morton facility this past summer and in November the Paxton facility was purchased by three employees to form a new LLC partnership, Contractor Services for Illinois. Ryan Hazelwood, Tim Kaeb, & Arlyn Rudin, the new owners, are optimistic about the venture bringing local ownership back into the Paxton community and Champaign and surrounding area. With over eleven years of experience they look forward to serving more people in their territory which extends from Charleston to Decatur and as far North as the south side of Chicago. As sure as the rising sun…Committed to Service and Integrity is their motto.
The new owners have relocated the business to 115 W. Pells St., Paxton. They sell, service, and install whole house central vacuum systems by Vacuflo. The limited lifetime warranty offered by Vacuflo is one of the best in the industry and makes owning a central vacuum system more affordable than most people realize. They also design and install closet organizers including custom laminated wood with all the popular colors and accessories along with free consultation and estimates. To accommodate remodeling projects or new home construction they also carry a large selection of bath hardware accessories including towel bars and paper holders, mirrors, and shower enclosures by Alumax. Their experienced installers take the headaches out of trying to do it yourself and, in fact, will save you money.
